Brad Connell - Atlanta, Georgia

"I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon. I want to know his thoughts, the rest are details." - Albert Einstein

My work is about the relationship between parts and the whole; pattern recognition and the structures that begin to emerge upon examination of these patterns.

I create my work the way nature creates the universe. I begin with a pattern, make multiples of this pattern, and use them to construct a structure. When I pour molten metal into the mold, the sculpture takes on a life of its own. This is when it is truly born.

Brad Connell is a native of Atlanta, GA. He began his art and design studies at GA Tech’s School of Architecture in the late ‘80s.
